A WOMAN'S PLACE…

HOW CAN GOD USE ME NOW?

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Ever since I was a little girl all I ever wanted to be was a housewife and a mom. When I went off to college I went to get my MRS degree (Mrs.). I was still in college when Gary and I got married and we started a family right away. We had both of our children by the time I was 25. I was a stay at home mom for 6 years. At the time, several moms in the Church stayed home and we got together almost every day. I loved every minute of it. When I finally had to go back to work, I taught school and I still had the same schedule as my children. I have been very blessed. Well, our children are grown now and our youngest is headed off to college. I have been struggling with my purpose lately. I have felt that my work is done. I have also been praying to grow and to be able to help other women to grow. I want so badly to be used by God. I know that God is faithful and his promises are true. God has a plan for this next stage of my life; he just hasn't revealed it to me yet. I have begun to get excited about this plan even though some days I am still scared about the empty nest and walking into a quiet house and missing all the teenagers here doing homework and eating all our food. Jeremiah 29:11 has always been my favorite scripture; it applies to every season of life.
